Rocky Mountain Bank - Downtown Stevensville. S.A.S.S. members have a new venue for their artwork - Rocky Mountain Bank! This new S.A.S.S. wall is available on a quarterly basis beginning in the months of January, April, July and October. The October and January showings are available. Because the artists are responsible for hanging and removing their own work, a hanging fee is not charged. Also, neither the bank nor S.A.S.S. takes a commission on the sales of these works. Missoula Federal Credit Union - Display your sculpture at the new Missoula Federal Credit Union in Stevensville. Sculptures will be on display on a quarterly basis. A cement platform with lighting is in place. Insurance is the responsibility of the sculptors. For information, contact Cindy Tharinger, 777-0362.

Sculpture purchase - SASS is collecting information on sculptures and sculptors for future purchases for the town of Stevensville. Local sculptors are of particular interest. Sculptors can send their information and/or proposals to SASS, P.O. Box 808, Stevensville, MT 59870.

The Olde Coffee Mill - lots of wall space for displaying artwork. Contact Ginny Horning, 777-2939, to schedule a show. Ginny takes no commission.

SASS membership is a fun and interesting way to support art in your local community, whether you are a new artist, an old hand or just like to be a patron of the arts. Our membership is comprised of all types of artists and craftspeople, including painters of all mediums, photographers, and sculptors.

Any interested artists or art supporters are welcome to join.

 Membership is $10 per year, tax-deductible, and residency in Stevensville is not a requirement. As a member, you will receive the S.A.S.S.y News, a monthly newsletter that keeps our members informed of the business of S.A.S.S., but also includes local art calls, art-related volunteer opportunities and artist networking information.

As a member, you will also be entitled to show your work at the many venues available to SASS (a commission may or may not apply).

Family/Art Supporter/Professional/Business memberships are available at $20 per year. Members at the Professional or Business level can also have an online portfolio/page on the SASS website for free. If you already have a website of your work, we'll also set up a link to it. Karen McFadden, activity director, is asking artists to be guest speakers at the Bitterroot Valley Living Center, 63 Main St. Artists can talk about any art subject that interests them for one hour. Contact Karen at 777-5411.
