Northwest Honey Festival

All Artists are invited to
submit work for the 1st Annual Northwest Honey Festival to be held

We are creating a ‘quilt’ of
images based on the role bees & honey play in our lives, on the intimate and
world scale.
Submitted works can include any images related to bees & honey; for example,
flowers, fruit, or tea cups. All
submissions will be accepted and documented. All participating artists will
receive access to the video & photographic
documentation of the event.
Entry Deadline: Entries must arrive by
Venue: The
artwork will be displayed in an enclosed tent for one day with the expected
audience of over 1,000 people
from the greater Bitterroot Valley & Missoula area. Honey Fest website:

Prizes: The top three artists will receive cash awards or prizes.
Sales: A 10% sales commission will be retained; all work must be for sale. Buyers may only remove pieces at the end of the show.
Eligibility: All artists, aged 18 and over, are eligible to enter.
All media formats are acceptable, as long as they are the correct dimensions
and can be hung vertically.
Size:
The exterior dimensions must be 11 x
14 and can be either horizontal or vertical. The work must be mounted on mat
board or other stiff material, foam core or panel.
The art may be matted & covered by shrink wrap or other protective
media.
REQUIRED
PRESENTATION AND SHIPPING
SHIPPING:
Artists are responsible for all shipping charges and materials. Work must be shipped ready for installation.
Plexiglas must be used on framed work. NO GLASS.
Hand delivery is welcome between Sept. 5-10th, 9 am to 6 pm, at the Stevensville Hotel, 107 E 3rd Street, Stevensville, MT 59870.
RETURN OF WORK:
All shipped work must be in a returnable package with return postage
included. No exceptions. Artwork not containing prepaid shipping
or hand-delivered artwork not picked up by pickup deadline will become
the property of SASS. After the pick up deadline SASS is not
responsible for lost or damaged work.
Option #2. Artists may also choose to donate their entry (ies) to SASS.
SASS will display the donations and sell them as a fundraiser. A tax
deduction form will be issued for all donations.
Insurance and Care
Great care is taken with artists’ work; however, sponsoring firms and
staff are not liable for loss or damage. Artists should consider
insuring their work. Entry into this show indicates acceptance of
non-liability for venue and organizing groups and their staff.
Application/Entry:
The entry fee is $5 per piece.

SASS reserves the right to photograph works, use the artist’s name, & title of work for publicity purposes.
Payment of entry fee signifies the artist’s acceptance of all terms and conditions set forth herein.

S.A.S.S. is a non-profit, contemporary art group in
public art. We
have grown into a network of artists and art supporters with the common goal of
presenting fine art to the rural community of Stevensville.
