"Two Left Feet Dancing Free" by Jay Laber

S.A.S.S.'s first sculpture acquisition was "Two Left Feet Dancing Free" by Jay Laber, a popular Montana artist and member of the Blackfeet Tribe. Jay recycles "junk" into art by using found objects such as car parts and transforming them into a unique sculpture. Visit his website to learn more about Jay and see his other works of art.

The sculpture is installed at the corner of Main and 3rd in downtown Stevensville on a site generously donated by Rocky Mountain Bank.

If you'd like to donate funds for future public art project, please send your check to S.A.S.S. at

SASS's second sculpture acquired in 2007 is "To Know Joy" by J.R. Eason.  JR is a former resident of the Bitterroot Valley and is a nationally known artist.  You can see more of her work at www.jreason.com

The sculpture is installed in Lange Park at the south end of Main Street in Downtown Stevensville.  The base of the sculpture is a rock that was dug up during the recent upgrade of the steam tunnels under the Campus of the University of Montana.
